Cardiology Appointment October 2015 (AND Catch Up for 2015!)

Koal had another check up with his cardiologist, Dr. Shah, on Monday, and it went well.  The pressure gradients that they check in and around his heart are continuing to increase, but we've expected that and are never shocked when that is continually the case.  As he grows, the pressures will increase and eventually get to the point where they need to be addressed, which means we will travel to Boston again for another major surgery to replace the conduit in Koalton's heart. For now, though, things seem to continue to be stable enough and in a range where we don't yet need to act on anything.  Koal shows no symptoms of trouble concerning his heart, and Dr. Shah was again very pleased with how things look.  We will return for another appointment in March and go from there.  At that point we may need to look at a trip to Boston, or we may continue to monitor every few months...just all depends on Koal's growth and the pressures around his sweet little heart.

THANK YOU, as always, seems so inadequate to show our appreciation for ALL of your thoughts and prayers for our amazing little man.  We can't tell you how much it means to us to know people are lifting him up in prayer and supporting us in so many ways.

Too cool...even at breakfast!

As I was preparing to post this blog update, I realized that I didn't post after out last cardiology appointment in May (which went well, also!) and didn't post any pics from Koal's FOURTH birthday!! (I'm such a blogging slacker!)  In fact, it's been nearly 9 months since my last post...SO, here's are some pictures from Koalton's birthday and our crazy, busy and AWESOME summer!
