Two months old...and Happy 4th of July!
We had a fabulous 4th of July weekend here, and Koal continues to do well health wise and bless us daily with his smiles and coos! He hit the two month mark on the 4th, so we had our well check with the pediatrician a couple days ago and he seems to be doing great. Here are some new stats:
11 lbs 1o oz -- 50%
24 inches -- 60%
And a bit of a “pin-head” number I don’t recall –- 20%
(don’t worry little man, your brother and sister were pin-heads, too, AND with all your crazy hair, who can tell anyway?!?! HA!)
We are so thankful that Koal continues to grow, eat and sleep well. Overall he is doing fabulous, and we are hopeful for another positive report when we see the cardiologist again the middle of this month. We also continue to pray daily for wisdom and understanding as we process through the “next step” surgical options we were presented with last month. We pray that God will open and close doors as needed and give us His insight and guidance as we continue to pray, research and look to the experts for wisdom concerning what to do next for our little guy’s heart. We are thankful that Koal continues to do well, as it means we are in no hurry to come to a decision at this point, and we are confident that God will show us His plan in the next four to six months so we will know how to proceed. Thank you all for your continued prayers for us, the doctors, and everyone involved with these decisions. No matter what happens, may God be glorified in all of this.

The pics are great. They all look so cute together. It's hard to believe Koal has grown so much and is doing so well. I heard Grandma Mel talking to Adam one night while we were there for cousin camp and he must have been cooing over the phone because she kept saying how wonderful it sounded to hear his cute little voice and how she couldn't wait to see him and how much he grows each week. We talked about Koal during our circle time one night with all the cousins and how grateful we are that in our whole family the Lord has planted a "hedge of protection" around us - even coming down to our newest member- Koal. We will keep on praying knowing the Lord will help with each decision and option that you are presented with. I call it God's little winks that let us know He is as close as a whisper. Take good care of yourselves so you will have all the strength and peace you'll need to take care of these precious little ones HE has given you. My pryaer is that you will have all the sleep and strength you need on a daily basis and that Koal will continue to be the strong little man he has been so far. Thank you for the updates and know you are in our daily prayers.
What adorable and fun pictures. I can remember the days of "never" having everyone facing the same direction for a group shot for years--but those are some of the best shots with everyone squirming. We're so thrilled that Koal continues to do well and you're all enjoying time as a family. We continue to pray for each of you, yours and grandparents with the days and months ahead. Lean on your faith and we know God will help guide you and those caring for Koal in the journey ahead. Be blessed and know that so many are praying for little Koal and each of you.
