16 Months & First Days of School
Yup…16 months…HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?!?!? Koal is doing excellent: growing tons, running in circles to keep up with Kade and Adry, and adding new “words” (sounds, grunts, whatever!) to his repertoire. At his recent visit to the pediatrician, she said he looks fantastic and is on track in all aspects of physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. His current stats are below:
Height: 30 inches - 15th %
Weight: 20 lbs. 5 oz - 3rd % (This is BIG for our fam, as Kade was 3 years old before he hit >0% in weight! HAHA!)

Please be praying as we head toward our October cardiologist visit, our first follow up in 6 months! It’s been amazing to not “think” so often and intensely about the next doctor’s appointment, or what they’ll be checking for and all the details that go with that, but it approaches now, and we pray for continued excellence in his heart function: that oxygenation levels remain high, pressures are where they need to be, and all blood flow is continuing as directed throughout his tiny heart. We pray also for perfect growth of Koal’s tricuspid valve. If it does not grow with his heart properly and consistently it will become more stenotic (tightened and closed) and function will begin to decrease greatly. We pray for excellent results from the EKG, echocardiogram and all testing he will have done that day.
Along with the recent 16 month mark, Kade and Adry each started pre-school for the year last week! It was a crazy week of “Get to Know Ya” days, and official FIRST (leave your mom and siblings behind!) days. Adry even broght snack to her class for the first time. So far they are LOVING it, and we know God is at work during their time there.

...And I'm happy to report, after a week of school, they STILL love it! |
