Follow Up Appointment

Koal saw Dr. Shah here in KC at Children's Mercy yesterday, and there's very little new to report from that appointment.  They took a chest x-ray and things look good from that (no post-procedure issues, etc). Dr. Shah decided we didn't really need to have another echo done, as it was less than a week ago the echo in Boston was done after his cath, so there would be little to no change. Koal will definitely have an echo at his next appointment in December to check on any further narrowing or pressure issues. For now, we are just going to watch for signs of problems (which we've seen none of!) and go from there. Thank you for praying for Koal and our appointment. Please continue to pray that his pressures in his heart would stay where they are and not worsen, along with the narrowing. Pray that he would grow as he should, so a larger balloon or stent could be used if needed in the future, but not so fast as to make the obstructions worse. Pray, too, that he continues to feel well and be his sweet, funny, and crazy little self all the time. What a joy he is...even when he's a stinker! :)

Home

Forgive me for not updating sooner, but we arrived home Sunday afternoon and I was sick! I didn't feel great the last two days we were in Boston, but by Sunday afternoon my head and throat hurt, I had a fever and the chills, and just felt BLEH :(  I was SO thankful to be home and in my own bed!

Our trip home Sunday was LONG...at least it felt that way with Koal fussing through most of the flight. Aily was GREAT, so that helped, but poor Koal just wasn't doing well. BUT, we survived and made it hone safe.

The past two days Koal seems to be doing well. He's definitely back to usual, silly self. Tomorrow we will see Dr Shah, his cardiologist here, and I'll update again. Thank you for your prayers, always!
