Two years have passed since Koal had his double switch open heart surgery in Boston. Time has flown...hard to believe it’s been that long. Sunday, December 8th, marked his official “2 year Heart-surge-iversary.” :)
Two years out, Koal seems to be doing well. We are going back to see Dr. Shah, Koalton’s pediatric cardiologist at Children’s Mercy here in Kansas City next week, so we will know more then about his pressures and the narrowing. (This is what they attempted to fix in Boston in September.) For now, he’s a crazy, happy, hilarious little man who doesn’t show a symptom or issue at all. For that, we are so very thankful. We pray that our next appointment shows no change from the last echo, that the narrowing and pressures are not any worse and that our next surgery could be put off as long as possible.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support for sweet Koal and all of us. We will keep you posted when we learn more next week.
“As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord is flawless.
He is a shield for all who take refuge in him”
